Castle View High School's is once again extremely honored to be recognized by the Bobby G High School Musical Awards for our production of Mamma Mia! Students in our orchestra pit, backstage, and onstage were nominated for their excellent work. From those nominations, Castle View Theatre was awarded three Bobby G's.
Our gratitude and thanks to the Bobby G Awards for their continued support of high school theatre. There is so much talent on and around the stages of high schools in Colorado and we applaud the incredible schools, directors, actors, and technicians who make it a joy to create.

Castle View High School's Production Ensemble class participated in this year's Parker Shakespeare Festival and we were proud to have two students, Bella Rossi and Makenna Maupin, represent the school at the final ceremonies. They were recognized with a top high school Shakespeare scene award for their performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Castle View Theatre Company was represented well at the 2018 Colorado State Thespian Conference. We had 14 students from 7 groups score the highest possible rating (superior) in their competition categories. These include Duet Musical, Solo Musical, Group Acting, Stage Management, and Theatre Marketing. In addition, Castle View's very own Vivian Luckiw was chosen as one of the best technical theatre presentations for her theatre marketing of our fall musical Mamma Mia! and recognized at closing ceremonies.

Castle View Theatre Company is proud and humbled to have won three 2018 Bobby G awards for Musical Direction (Rochelle Walter, Heath Walter, Jay McGuffin), Scenic Design (Brogan Croom, Rylee Carlson, Robert Scott), and Best Actress (Abby Lehrer).

With her win as Best Actress, Abby was invited to work with Broadway professionals and perform at the National High School Theatre Awards (known as the Jimmy Awards) in New York City on June 25, 2018. Here is her national performance:
